TV360 Becomes First Vietnamese Platform to Confirm Full 2026 World Cup Coverage
Viettel-owned streaming service TV360 has announced it will carry every match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup across its ecosystem in Vietnam, becoming the first platform in the country to confirm rights for the 104-match tournament. The platform already holds rights to the UEFA Champions League, Bundesliga and AFC competitions.
T V360, the streaming service operated by Vietnamese telecommunications group Viettel, has become the first platform in Vietnam to confirm broadcasting all 104 matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the company said this week. Coverage will span every stage of the tournament hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, from the opening match on June 11 through the final at MetLife Stadium on July 19.
Full broadcast package across the platform ecosystem
According to the announcement reported by ZNews on May 21, TV360 holds the complete broadcasting rights for the 2026 tournament in Vietnam. Fans will be able to watch every match from the group stage through to the final across the platform's connected services, with no matches held back from the package. The confirmation is the first concrete answer to a question that has hung over Vietnamese fans for months. Vietnam did not qualify for the expanded 48-team tournament, but the country sits in one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing sports-TV markets and Qatar 2022 drew an estimated 28 million Vietnamese viewers.
Part of a wider sports-rights push
A TV360 representative said the 2026 World Cup is not only the biggest sporting event on the planet, but also an opportunity to connect millions of football fans in Vietnam, framing the deal as part of the company's commitment to bring top sporting events closer to the general public. The World Cup package adds to a portfolio that already includes the UEFA Champions League, the German Bundesliga and AFC competitions, as TV360 continues expanding its sports content strategy to lift appeal among domestic users.
First mover in a crowded market
Being the first platform in Vietnam to lock in the 2026 World Cup has drawn significant attention from the Vietnamese football community, especially given the scale of the upcoming tournament. The first 48-team edition will run 104 matches in total, the largest World Cup in history. Most kickoffs will land in the small hours of the morning Vietnam time. The June 11 opener between Mexico and South Africa kicks off at 15:00 ET, which is 02:00 on June 12 in Hanoi. The July 19 final at MetLife Stadium will start at 02:00 on the Monday morning of July 20 in Vietnam.
