T he FIFA World Cup 2026 New York / New Jersey Host Committee has confirmed that four national teams have chosen New Jersey as their official Team Base Camps for the tournament. Brazil, Haiti, Morocco and Senegal will all train inside the state, anchored to the eight matches the region hosts at New York / New Jersey Stadium, including the July 19 final.
"A once-in-a-generation event"
"New Jersey is excited to welcome the world to our state for eight World Cup matches, including the World Cup Final. This is a once-in-a-generation event, and we are proud that New Jersey will be at the very center of the festivities, hosting not only millions of soccer fans but also four national teams that have chosen to make our state their base of operations for the duration of the tournament," Governor Mikie Sherrill said. "We are thrilled that Brazil, Haiti, Morocco, and Senegal have decided to call the Garden State home, bringing the World Cup directly to communities across our state and driving economic activity throughout the region."
Alex Lasry, CEO of the New York / New Jersey Host Committee, framed the four picks around the region's diaspora communities. "When teams from four different continents choose New Jersey as their home away from home, it reflects the global strength of our region," he said. "As one of the most diverse regions in the world, these teams will be welcomed to communities that already know and celebrate them."
Brazil at Columbia Park Training Center (Morris Township)
Brazil will base out of the New York Red Bulls' Columbia Park Training Center in Morris Township. The 32-hectare complex includes two natural-grass pitches and a modern team building. Brazil play their Group C match at New York / New Jersey Stadium on June 13. "The Training Center is new, modern and offers all the conditions for our work, before and during the World Cup. I want to thank Red Bulls for welcoming us and showing us all the space, which was also sought after by other teams," head coach Carlo Ancelotti said via the CBF.
Haiti at Stockton University (Galloway)
Haiti will train at Stockton University in southern New Jersey, the same campus that supported CR Flamengo through their Club World Cup 2025 run. The campus has a 1,500-seat stadium with a grass pitch and a multi-purpose sports center. "Stockton University is one of the few Team Base Camps nationwide that has hosted the 1994 FIFA World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and the FIFA World Cup 2026," said Jeff Haines, associate director of Athletics and Recreation. Stockton president Joe Bertolino called the selection "an environment where the world's best athletes can train, learn and feel at home."
Morocco at The Pingry School (Basking Ridge)
Morocco take residence at The Pingry School in Basking Ridge, a private school whose football facility doubled as a training site during the 1994 World Cup. The Miller Bugliari '52 World Cup Field was renovated in 2025 and now features two international-standard grass pitches plus a modern athletics center. Morocco face Brazil at New York / New Jersey Stadium on June 13 in one of the marquee group-stage matchups of the region.
Senegal at Rutgers University (Piscataway)
Senegal will base out of Rutgers University, the state's flagship public research institution. The Miller Practice Fields offer two Kentucky Bluegrass pitches with a sand base and modern irrigation. Senegal play two group games at the New York / New Jersey Stadium, France on June 16 and Norway on June 22. FSF president Abdoulaye Fall: "Selecting New York / New Jersey as our base reflects the high standards we look for in preparing for a tournament of this magnitude. Rutgers University provides the facilities and environment our team needs to train at the highest level."
