J amaica's 2026 World Cup broadcast picture is set. IRIS Sport Media, Television Jamaica (TVJ) and Caribbean Premier Sports Ltd (CPSL), operator of the RUSH Sports platform, have announced a partnership that delivers the tournament across free-to-air television, pay TV, streaming and digital. The arrangement combines the country's leading free-to-air broadcaster with the Caribbean's subscription-sports platform, giving Jamaican fans access on multiple screens through the same brand stack.

What the package covers

On the free side, TVJ carries a significant package of matches on linear television, with the same feed available digitally through 1Spot Media. That gives any Jamaican household with a TV antenna or a phone access to live World Cup football without a subscription. On the premium side, RUSH Sports adds extensive pay-TV and streaming coverage across the Caribbean for fans who want the full slate beyond what TVJ broadcasts free. Both partners will run live matches, highlights, studio programming, analysis, digital content and tournament features.

Statements from the three partners

Michael Look Tong, CEO of Caribbean Premier Sports Ltd, framed the deal as cultural as much as sporting: "The FIFA World Cup is more than a sporting event. It is a global cultural moment that unites people across nations and generations. We are extremely proud to partner with IRIS and TVJ to deliver a broadcast model that combines extensive free-to-air access with premium multi-platform coverage across the Caribbean. Through RUSH Sports premium regional platforms, Jamaican fans will experience the excitement, emotion and energy of the FIFA World Cup 2026 like never before."

Santiago Sluzewski Monti, senior consultant and partner of IRIS LATAM Sport Media, called the deal a step change for the market: "This partnership represents a major step forward for sports broadcasting in Jamaica. This collaboration ensures that Jamaican viewers will benefit from broad access, outstanding production quality, and comprehensive tournament coverage."

Ransford Ricketts, Head of TV at TVJ, set out the on-air offer: "Through TVJ and 1Spot Media, audiences across Jamaica will be able to watch the FIFA World Cup live and free, supported by comprehensive tournament coverage including pre- and post-match shows, analysis, discussions, and highlights across every platform. TVJ is proud to continue its tradition of bringing the world's biggest sporting events to Jamaican audiences. Together, with IRIS Sports, we look forward to creating a shared national viewing experience that connects fans and communities across the island."

Context

Jamaica did not qualify for the 2026 World Cup, which makes the country a pure consumption market for the tournament rather than a participating one. Even so, football audiences across the Caribbean travel heavily with Brazil, Argentina, France, Spain, Portugal and Germany, so a broad free-to-air slate from TVJ plus a paid completionist slate from RUSH Sports covers both ends of the local demand curve. Watch-page listings on /watch/ are updated accordingly.

What still to be confirmed

The full match slate to be carried on free-to-air, the studio talent line-up and any localised programming around CONCACAF or Caribbean-relevant fixtures. The partners say more details will land before kick-off on June 11.
